4 Ways You Can Include Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) in Daily learning
1. Check up on the Students at the Start the Day:
Checking up on the students is a great way to connect with them in a personal capacity. They let teachers learn more about their students before starting the lesson. By offering students a check-in, they can share their daily experiences and learn about their classmates.

2. Recommend Teamwork Among Peers:
Working as a team, taking part in discussions, activities, etc. lets students understand how to communicate with their peers. Students learn how to participate, listen, communicate with others, build leadership qualities, ask questions, and understand their strengths and weaknesses to best play a part in the group. This is an important part of SEL.

3. Manage Problems with Peer Mediation:
Peer mediation is a process to solve conflicts wherein students part of a dispute are gathered by the teacher in a safe and confidential place to work out their differences. Continuing to shape these behaviors and helping students solve their conflicts amongst themselves, will push them to do so without being asked.

4. Check up on Students as the Day Ends:
End the day with a short check-in with the students about how their day was. Discuss what went well through the day and what did not, and set some, milestones for the next day.
